About Seek Wisdom

Growing in Faith and Understanding of God's Word.

Gathering men to learn, reflect, and live out God’s truth in every area of life.

As followers of Christ, we value the knowledge and understanding that come from God’s Word. We believe it is vital for men to keep learning and growing in wisdom throughout life, allowing the Holy Spirit to work in us.

Seek Wisdom was established to provide high-quality events and seminars for Christian men. Using the gifts God has given, we create opportunities that inspire men to dive deeper into Scripture and spark meaningful conversations with fellow believers.

We are thankful for the blessing of gathering together, to grow in faith, encourage one another, and deepen our understanding of God’s Word as men seeking to follow Christ.

The History of Seek Wisdom

Many people have asked about the origins of Seek Wisdom. In short, Seek Wisdom is the new name for what was formerly known as the Free Reformed Study Centre (FRSC). A group of ministers, united by a desire to provide biblically grounded resources for everyday Christian living, initially founded the FRSC. After a period of dormancy, a new and enthusiastic committee revived and rebranded the Centre to better express our mission to: Seek Wisdom.

At its core, Seek Wisdom exists to host thoughtful, high-quality events that encourage Reformed Christians to grow in faith, deepen their understanding and application of Scripture, and engage in Christ-centred conversations. Over the years, these events have taken various forms—Men’s Conferences, Office Bearers’ Conferences, and Lecture Evenings—all aimed at fostering meaningful spiritual growth.

Since launching under the Seek Wisdom banner, the committee hosted its inaugural Men’s Conference, themed Spiritual Conversations, in 2019. This format brought together members from two local congregations at a time, resulting in five meetings and almost 400 attendees.

Several years later, we held another Men’s Conference, Men of Peace, which explored our Christian calling to be peacemakers. In addition to five metro events, two further conferences were hosted in the South West and Albany. In 2022, we also hosted an Office Bearers’ Conference, which focused on the role of deacons.

Our most recent men’s conferences were held at Mt Pleasant College theatre, with over 500 men attending each conference.  In 2025, we had the call for Men of Courage, and in 2026, Men of Compassion. These conferences resonated well with our men and we have been strongly encouraged to keep going.

Beyond these men’s conferences, Seek Wisdom also hosted several enriching lecture series. Rev. Clarence Bouwman presented two series on the Fear of God, and Rev. Dr. Dean Anderson delivered lectures on The Ministry of Jesus as well as on the Life and Influence of Gisbertus Voetius.

Meet the Committee

Our committee is a team of committed men from several Free Reformed Churches in the Perth area, each bringing their unique gifts and insights. We collaborate with Reformed pastors and other Christian professionals to guide our conferences, ensuring that every event is biblically sound, practical, and enriching for the men who attend.
